Our Program

We are dedicated to creating a learning

environment in which a child can

experience the values of acceptance,

love, sharing and caring.

We believe that parents, teachers and children are partners in the learning process. Each child is unique in his/her own interests, learning styles, development rates and capabilities. Each child is encouraged and supported to learn at his or her own rate of ability. An environment that is free from undue stress is created for the learning process to be effective. Discipline needs to be conducted in a manner that encourages development of self-discipline. The only discipline that is acceptable with young children in our care is positive redirection. Our curriculum is current and basic. We create an atmosphere that celebrates the uniqueness of others, free from racial and gender bias.

Infant - Awareness of “Me”, ages 6 weeks - 18 months

Tender handling, combined with quality attention by the staff will focus a positive growth atmosphere for our infants. Infants explore cognitive, gross motor and fine motor skills through the use of sensory activities, exploration, and tactile toys. Music is used for their auditory stimulation.

Toddler - Awareness of “Me/He/She”, ages 12-24

months

Toddlers skills are expanded with the use of games, activities and equipment. Language development is enriched by the use of stories, songs, and finger plays. Self-help skills, such as personal hygiene, toilet training and eating habits are taught in the classroom. Children explore their environment by direct physical contact and play.

Junior Preschool - Awareness of “Me/He/She”, ages 24-

36 months.

Children further expand on the cognitive, language and  motor skills with more challenging forms of games, activities, stories  and equipment. Sharing and taking turns become new challenges to explore.

Preschool - Awareness of “Me/We”, ages 3 1/2 to 5

years.

Kindergarten readiness activities are included in the preschool room. Games and activities are designed to increase quantitative skills, scientific observations and vocabulary skills. Oral language skills are refined. Core Knowledge curriculum is used for this class. Opportunities for extra-curricular learning programs such as gymnastics, computers and music are also available.
